2 and a half years later
Moving on from Phillips & Evans which is on line and planning its first ever sale (end of October 2010) it's time to get fit. Inspired by my big brother I am writing this secret (well no one's going to read it) blog to use as a record of my activities as I hope it will motivate me to move more and eat less.

The beginning - at last!
How long has it taken to get this far? And we have only got to the beginning? Over 7 years. We've discussed approaches, brands, manifestos, artists, makers, locations all in an attempt to simply sell art and craft. We have decided to focus on domestic ware ceramics and original hand produced prints. Both share similarities in that they both allow the customer to enjoy affordable art, hand made in limited editions by their skilled makers, beautiful unique pieces that enhance the everyday. Each artist produces their work and sets their prices and receives fair pay for the work they do. There is no mass produced, homogenized work produced in uninspiring factories miles from the beauty of creation and the personality of the maker.
And we are trying to keep the packaging responsible. Working on the reuse, reduce, recycle policy we hope to use other people's left over bubble wrap as there doesn't seem to be anything better for protecting fragile glass and ceramics.
Anyway this beginning will never happen unless I get on with organising it. In hopefully 12 days we will be on line. Until then lots of photos, writing, sorting and planning. Can't wait!
